It will Cost You!
Plus Today in cartoons
Thank you to all my subscribers for supporting me on Substack. Here’s this week’s cartoon.
Much of recent news from the Middle East has been understandably focused on the controversial Memorandum of Understating (MOU) between the US and Iran.
Meanwhile the exorbitant price tag of this American war of choice continues to grow. It is certain that the US taxpayers will be stuck with a bill in the tens of billions of dollars.
When you add in the war’s disruption to trade and supply chains around the world the picture worsens. There are estimates that suggest the cost to the worldwide economy could be over $2 trillion in annualized GDP.
Today in Cartoons
Here’s a look back through my archive to find cartoons published on this day in earlier years. First a fun cartoon that appeared in The Baltimore Sun June 21, 2021 in the middle of the pandemic.
Then there’s this Baltimore Sun cartoon from June 21, 2001. I don’t exactly remember the news story it was addressing but I like the cartoon concept! Let me know in the comments if you know the story in question.

I wish this wasn't so on point.
Not the birthday presents a venerable democracy should be able to look forward to.
